Waterloo Regional Police have charged a Kitchener man as part of an investigation involving child sexual abuse and exploitation . The investigation began in September after the service’s internet child exploitation unit were alerted of an individual potentially possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Police executed a search warrant Friday at a Kitchener home and arrested the suspect. An 18-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with voyeurism, making child sexual abuse and exploitation material, possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and making available child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Charges that include the phrase “child sexual abuse and exploitation material” formerly used the term “child pornography.”
