15-year-old charged in Waterloo stabbing

A 15-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Waterloo, police say.

Officers responded to a report of an assault in the area of Phillip Street and University Avenue West at approximately 7:10 p.m. on March 27.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said a suspect was identified through the investigation and arrested Tuesday.

The 15-year-old has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.
