Sexual offender at large: Edmonton police

Edmonton police are searching for an alleged sex offender they believe may be trying to flee the country.

Edmonton police are warning the public of a sexual offender who is at large.

Prabhjeet Singh was being monitored in relation to an incident involving a minor in May.

Police say he removed his ankle bracelet that was monitoring him and are concerned he may try to flee the country before his court date on July 29.

The 21-year-old’s last known location was in a rural area around Range Road 195 near Sherwood Park on Sunday.

Singh is 6 feet tall and weighs 173 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Police say the man has ties to India and may be trying to make his way there.

Anyone who encounters Singh is advised not to approach him and to contact police immediately.
