RCMP trying to identify suspects in liquor store theft

Police in Wetaskiwin are trying to identify suspects who were allegedly involved in a robbery at a Millet liquor store on Saturday afternoon.

RCMP said officers were called to the store on Saturday, December 17, on reports of an armed robbery. It was alleged three suspects were involved, and they had fled with a 12 pack of beer.

It’s alleged a male suspect went into the store at 2:40 p.m., brandished a firearm and demanded the cashier open a register.

RCMP said the suspect didn’t get cash, but left with the beer. The suspect got into a waiting car, where at least two other occupants were inside. The vehicle was last seen heading towards Wetaskiwin.

Investigators have not yet determined if the firearm was real. The cashier wasn’t hurt.

At the time of the incident, the male suspect was wearing a ski mask, but had been caught on video without the mask earlier. That suspect is described as:

At the time, he was also wearing sunglasses, a black baseball cap, black jacket, blue jeans and a scarf.

The second male suspect is described as:

At the time, he was wearing blue jeans, a grey sweatshirt, large gold chain, a black baseball cap and sunglasses.

The female suspect is described as:

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing leggings and a bulky black and red sweatshirt.

The vehicle the suspects were seen fleeing in was described as a dirty, green four-door vehicle, possibly a Nissan.
