Police urging residents of Lymburn to be cautious, after rash of break-ins

The Community Safety and Well-Being Task Force released a 68-page report Wednesday that makes recommendations it says would make Edmonton safer for all.

Edmonton police are warning residents of a west end neighbourhood to keep an eye out for suspicious activity, after a number of break-ins were reported in the last few days.

Police said three break and enters had been reported over five days, the first on August 9, the most recent reported on Tuesday.

In each case, it’s believed the suspect entered the homes in the early morning, where at least one person was inside.

It’s believed the suspect entered the homes through a screen or patio window – the targeted homes were within blocks of eachother.

While each case is similar, police are still working to determine if they are linked.

The suspect was reportedly also wearing dark-coloured clothing.
