Person found with multiple stab wounds in central Edmonton

Police were called to a residential block on July 16, 2020, on 105 Street at 114 Avenue around 4 p.m. after a person was found with multiple stab wounds.

EDMONTON — Edmonton Police Service detectives are trying to track down a suspect after a person was stabbed several times in a central Edmonton neighbourhood Thursday.

According to police, a passerby found the victim in a residential area near 105 Street at 114 Avenue on Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m.

The 26-year-old victim was found with multiple stab wounds and was transported to hospital with serious injuries. Police say he is in stable condition.

Six police cruisers and an ambulance were on scene and officers taped off two houses, including the front yards and the alleyway behind them. Police told CTV News Edmonton they were not sure what led to the stabbing or exactly where it occurred.

EPS confirmed Friday it does not have a suspect in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
