Manslaughter charges laid in 2023 central Alberta killing

Mounties have charged two men with manslaughter in the 2023 killing of 33-year-old Ryker Dingman in Maskwacis.

On May 10, 2023, officers received a report of a dead man at a rural location on Montana First Nation, approximately 90 kilometres south of Edmonton.

An autopsy determined the death to be a homicide.

Through investigation, police found that Dingman was in an altercation at an Edmonton residence and was then transported to and left at the rural location.

Brandon Dean Regamey, 29, and Jaden Michael Omeasoo have both been charged with manslaughter.

Omeasoo was remanded into custody and is to appear in court on Nov. 25. But due to a publication ban, RCMP could not provide details on Regamey’s next court date or say if he was in custody or not.
