Electrical issues on the Valley Line LRT forcing passengers to transfer trains

Electrical issues on the Valley Line are causing interruptions for passengers which are expected to continue into Tuesday evening.

According to Edmonton Transit Service (ETS), the issue was reported at 1:30 p.m. between the Muttart and Quarters stops.

Trains are still running on one track between the Muttart and 102 Street stops, as well as on both tracks between Mill Woods and Muttart.

As a result, passengers must transfer trains.

“Visual and audio announcements are occurring at all Valley Line stops. Uniformed staff will provide support to riders during peak hours at Muttart, Quarters and Churchill stops,” Ryan Birch of ETS wrote in an email to CTV News Edmonton.
