For the first time in its history, Re/Max field will play host to PGX Stadium Range Day on Saturday. Designed for all ages, the event will field families to enjoy an open range where anyone participating can swing their clubs at targets in the outfield. “We want families to experience the joy of golf in a fun and welcoming environment,” said Jordan Jeske, founder of PROJCT Athletics and PROJCT Golf Experience. The PROJCT Golf Experience (PGX) by PROJCT Athletics has hosted range parties at local driving ranges in Edmonton since 2017. The September event will be historic to the city as this will be the first time a professional sports stadium will be turned into a driving range. PGX hopes hosting events like this will make the game more fun, social and inclusive. “Golf is an incredible way to get kids moving, build confidence, and teach life lessons that last well beyond the game,” said Jeske. The open range is from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. followed by a range party from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Kids under the age of 12 can attend for free. Tickets are still available on Eventbrite.
