Two men have been arrested after a firearm incident in Westlock last month. On Sept. 27 at approximately 10 p.m., Westlock RCMP received a call from a victim saying a firearm was pointed at them. The victim was then shoved toward their vehicle with the firearm. The victim fled the scene in their vehicle. The suspect was located nearby and arrested after a short foot pursuit. A firearm was not found on him. • The information you need to know, sent directly to you: Download the CTV News App RCMP performed a search at the residence where the suspect was taken into custody. A trailer on the property was also located on the property and searched. As a result of the search, the following was seized: “The amount of drugs that were seized and removed from the streets, as well as the imitation firearms, is significant,” said Staff Sgt. Jeff Sehn with Westlock RCMP. The 32-year-old man accused of pointing the firearm is facing several charges including assault with a weapon, possession of a firearm for dangerous purpose, and pointing a firearm. The 33-year-old man was arrested after he was found breaching conditions in the residence. Both appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice in Westlock on Oct. 1.
