One man is facing second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of a man who was stabbed in a Sherwood Park apartment complex. Mounties were called to the building near Fir Street just after 5:30 a.m. Friday morning, where they found a man with injuries. He died on scene despite life-saving measures taken by EMS. He was later identified as Darren James Currat, 36. Christopher Boyd O’Chiese, a 31-year-old Sherwood Park resident, was arrested about five hours later. Strathcona County RCMP say he lived in the same apartment complex as Currat. He now faces a second-degree murder charge. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in a St. Albert court on Monday.
