2 killed, 3 others hospitalized in crash south of Edmonton

Two people were killed and several others injured in a crash in Leduc County on Wednesday.

Emergency crews received a report of a head-on crash on Highway 21 near Highway 623.

When crews arrived they found a 36-year-old man from one vehicle and a 35-year-old woman from the other dead at the scene.

Three other people were taken to hospital with varying injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
