Man taken to hospital after shooting in Barrie

Officers are on the scene of a shooting at an apartment building in north end Barrie.

Barrie Police Services says a man has been taken to a local hospital after the shooting near Johnson Street and Shanty Bay Road.

Police would not provide any additional details, except to say the call came in just before 8 p.m.

Officers are looking for anyone who saw the shooting, or has any information on it, to contact them.
