Destination Canada has announced a free FIFA World Cup watch party on Grouse Mountain this summer. The ticket-limited event is one of two “Natural Watch Party” events the tourism promoter is hosting in Canada’s two host cities. The Grouse event will take place on Saturday, June 27, with guests invited to watch Panama vs. England on a big screen overlooking the Vancouver cityscape. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. PT. Toronto Islands will host the first Natural Watch Party on Saturday, June 20, when Germany takes on Cote d’Ivoire at 4 p.m. ET. “We know people are craving real, authentic experiences, and these Natural Watch Parties embody just that,” said Gloria Loree, Destination Canada’s senior vice-president of marketing strategy and chief marketing officer, in a news release announcing the events. “To stand on a mountain or paddle on one of the Great Lakes—these experiences are capturing something that is uniquely Canadian. They combine the beauty of the game with the beauty of Canada’s natural landscapes and the genuine warmth of Canadian hospitality. We hope visitors can join us, enjoy deeper connections to place and people, and see for themselves what makes Canada so natural and distinctive from other destinations.” Tickets are limited for each event.
