A former neurologist who was recently acquitted of almost 50 counts of sexual assault is facing new charges. Jeffrey Sloka had been charged with 48 counts of sexually assaulting patients at his Kitchener, Ont. clinic between 2010 and 2017. The accusers said they received vaginal exams, breast exams or exams of other intimate areas during appointments for neurological concerns. In April, Justice Craig Parry acquitted Sloka on all counts and said he was satisfied that there were valid medical reasons for all the examinations. Since then, CTV News has learned that Sloka is facing two other sexual assault allegations. New allegations Weeks after his acquittal, Sloka was back in court facing two separate counts of sexual assault. He made a brief court appearance on Tuesday. The alleged incidents took place in Kitchener between 2011 and 2013. The names of the complainants cannot be released due to a publication ban. When the charges were laid by the Waterloo Regional Police Service in 2022, Sloka’s trial for the previous sexual assault charges was already underway. CTV News has also learned nine other charges of sexual assault laid between 2021 and 2022 were recently withdrawn at the request of the Crown. He is scheduled to return to court at the end of July for the two latest charges. Neither of the accusations have been tested in court.
