Wranglers drop opening game of a back-to-back, losing to Moose 5-1

The Wranglers and Moose faced off in Winnipeg, against the Moose Saturday night. Winnipeg won 5-1.

The Calgary Wranglers got off on the wrong foot in the first of a back-to-back series against the Moose Saturday, dropping a 5-1 in Winnipeg.

Martin Frk scored the loan goal for the Wranglers, giving him three points in his last three games.

Samuel Fagemo scored twice, while Danny Zhilkin, Brayden Yager and former Wrangler (and Calgary Flame) Walker Duehr lit the lamp for the Moose.

Goaltender Ivan Prosvetov stopped 23 shots for Calgary.

Next up is a Monday afternoon rematch in Winnipeg against the Moose.

Puck drop is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Following their weekend in Winnipeg, the Wranglers head for California, where they will take on the Condors in Bakersfield next Friday night and then San Jose the following night.
