The province’s latest flu numbers reveal another climb in fatalities -- and hospitalizations. The province recorded another 15 deaths from the flu since its last update, with 73 Albertans dying from the flu so far this season. Over 2,300 people have been hospitalized with the flu. Meantime, more than 950,000 have been vaccinated with a flu shot, which is now more than this time last year --translating to one in five Calgarians. With COVID vaccinations, 363,461 shots have been administered, about 260,000 behind last year’s pace. Around 7.3 per cent of Calgarians have been vaccinated, with 7.2 overall throughout the province and 7.4 per cent in southern Alberta.
