Police release new information in jewel heist at northeast mall

Police released photos of two individuals believed linked to the case.

Calgary police have released photos of two men they believe are linked to the smash and grab robbery at Marborough Mall on the weekend.

Police were called to the mall at about 4:15 a.m. Sunday after a stolen truck rammed the front entrance and then crashed into Anthony Jewellers inside the mall.

Two offenders stole an undisclosed amount of property from the jewelry store and fled the scene in the truck, which was recovered in an alley in the 4100 block of Maryvale Drive NE later that day.
