Water restrictions announced by the City of Calgary on Thursday has created a delay in the opening day for skiing and snowboarding at WinSport. The restrictions come into effect Nov. 4 and are expected to last a month. The Calgary ski hill says it won’t be able to make snow during what it calls a critical period of preparation for the winter season. WinSport says it’s working closely with the city, but the opening date for skiing and snowboarding is now uncertain.
