A Lethbridge man has been charged with breaching release conditions stemming from previous child sexual abuse charges. On May 6, Lethbridge police responded to reports of 15-year-old girl getting into a car with a man at a northside pool parking lot. A traffic stop was conducted, and investigation determined that the driver was forbidden from any contact with children under the age of 16 and visiting any daycare, school, school yard, playground, youth shelter swimming pool or public park. Those conditions were imposed after the man was released from custody in connection with 2025 cases where he was charged with child sexual assault and accessing child pornography. David Alejandro Hernandez, 36, of Lethbridge was charged with two counts of breaching release conditions. He’s in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
