An 81-year-old man has died after his vehicle left the road and caught fire in Cape Breton. The RCMP responded to the crash on Highway 105 near Kellys Mountain around 8:50 p.m. Thursday. Police say the Mazda CX-3 was travelling eastbound on the highway when it left the road, entered the ditch and came to rest in the eastbound lane before catching fire. The driver, who was from Ontario, died at the scene. He was the only person inside the vehicle. Highway 105 at Kellys Mountain was closed for several hours while investigators remained on scene.
