‘Doctor Who’ star Catherine Tate to join co-stars at Calgary Expo

Dr. Who cast member Catherine Tate is joining co-stars Mandip Gill and Jodie Whittaker at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo April 24-27.

The Calgary Expo added a third cast member from Dr. Who to its lineup Thursday when it announced that Catherine Tate will be part of its 2025 celebrity lineup.

Tate, who played comedian Donna Noble on the show, will join Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill at BMO Centre in Stampede Park April 24-27.

Whittaker, the first woman to play Dr. Who, and Gill, who played Yasmin Kha, were both announced as guests in mid-January.

“Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill’s work on Doctor Who was an exciting chapter of the show’s legacy, and we can’t wait to welcome them to Calgary for the first time,” said Fan Expo vice-president Andrew Moyes in a media release.

“With an all-star lineup and our new, expanded use of the BMO Centre, this year’s Calgary Expo is already shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before – and we’re just getting started.”

Tate first appeared on the show in 2006, alongside David Tennant. She also appeared in the 60th anniversary Dr. Who special in 2023.

Other confirmed guests include Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei, Alicia Silverstone, and Superman & Lois leads Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch.
