City of Calgary seeking local services, infrastructure spending feedback with survey

City hall is encouraging Calgary residents to say their piece on local services and infrastructure spending.

The survey is a part of public engagement as the city develops its business plans and budgets for 2027-2030.

Tuesday morning in a news release, the city noted, “For many Calgarians, the four‑year budget shapes everyday life.”

“The four‑year budget guides how Calgary invests in the services and programs people rely on every day,” said Les Tochor, the city’s general manager and chief financial officer.

“Hearing directly from Calgarians supports informed decision-making and helps ensure we develop a budget that reflects the needs of our city.”

Residents have a couple of options to take the survey.

They can do so online, on the city’s Engage Portal at https://engage.calgary.ca/budgetinput.

They can also do so in person, as the city hosts pop-up events in each ward:

• March 21, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Vivo for Healthier Generations (11950 Country Village Link N.E.);
• March 24, 4 to 7 p.m. at Melcor YMCA at Crowfoot (8100 John Laurie Blvd. N.W.);
• March 26, 3 to 6 p.m. at Village Square Leisure Centre (2623 56th St. N.E.);
• March 27, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Core Shopping Centre (751 3rd St. S.W.—+15/second level, above 4 St. S.W.);

The survey is available now and will remain available through April 15.
