Charges laid against driver in Dalhousie pedestrian crash

Calgary police, EMS and the Calgary Fire Department were called to the scene of a crash on Dalhousie Drive N.W. on Nov. 20, 2025, that involved two pedestrians - a child and an adult.

The driver of a vehicle who struck two girls in the northwest Calgary community of Dalhousie last week has been charged by police.

On Nov. 20, Alejandra Graham, 18, and her 10-year-old sister Camilla were walking to school together.

When the pair were crossing Dalhousie Drive at Dalgleish Road N.W. at about 8:45 a.m., they were struck by a vehicle.

Officials say the girls were in a marked crosswalk at the time.

Both girls were seriously hurt as a result and needed to undergo surgery as part of their treatment.

Calgary police say the driver was charged at the scene with two counts of failing to stop for a pedestrian and one count of careless driving.

A court date is not known.

A GoFundMe campaign, started by the family to help with the costs of the girls’ recovery, has surpassed its goal of $10,000.
