12 Calgary eateries make 2026 list of 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in Canada

If you’re planning on eating out on Valentine’s Day but don’t know where to make your reservation, a new list from OpenTable may help you choose.

The online restaurant reservation company released its list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in Canada for 2026 on Wednesday, and Calgary has a dozen spots that made the cut.

The list draws upon information from more than 900,000 verified OpenTable restaurant reviews and dining metrics from Dec. 1, 2024, to Nov. 30, 2025.

Restaurants are then ranked by the percentage of reviews with the tag “romantic.”

The Calgary restaurants featured on the list include:

• Alvin’s Jazz Club;
• The Lake House;
• Chairman’s Steakhouse;
• Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant;
• Bolero;
• Flores & Pine;
• Modern Steak (Southport Road location);
• River Café;
• Luca;
• Orchard;
• Vintage Chophouse & Tavern; and,
• Major Tom.

In total, 21 Alberta restaurants make the list, including the Heartland Cafe and Amedeos in Okotoks, and the Italian Farmhouse Restaurant & Bar in Bragg Creek.

Ontario had the most entries on the list with 47, British Columbia had 18, Quebec had 11, Nova Scotia had three and New Brunswick had one.
