Saturday will be the peak of the heat in Calgary, but temperatures will take a big dive on Sunday. Saturday in will come with a high of 33 C and at times the air quality will likely be quite poor. Calgary is currently under heat and air quality warnings. On Sunday, the jet stream will slump down from central Alberta to southern Alberta. This will break the hot weather pattern we have been in and bring in a much cooler air mass. This also brings the chance of showers and the risk of thunderstorms Sunday morning and later in the day. The smoke should clear out late Sunday. The temperature on Heritage Day Monday will drop a little further, and the day comes with the risk of thunderstorms. Look at this cute pup, Cody.
