Calgary police say they have identified human remains found under an overpass almost five years ago. The body was located in the area of 50 Avenue and Ogden Road S.E. on Aug. 22, 2021. At the time, police said the remains had “decomposed significantly.” Police spent years working to identify the body, taking the step of releasing photos of three rings the man had in his possession with the hope of determining who he was. On Monday, police issued an update saying they have since identified him. As his death isn’t criminal in nature, no further information will be released.
