Calgary firefighters helped rescue a worker who had become injured while on the roof of a supported living facility on Tuesday. Crews were called to the Providence Care Centre in the 100 block of Providence Boulevard S.E. just after 10:30 a.m. A spokesperson for Calgary EMS says the worker stumbled and suffered a very minor soft tissue injury. The injury, though minor, made it so the worker was unable to climb down from the roof. Firefighters used a tower ladder truck to save the stranded worker. Paramedics transported the victim to hospital in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
