Calgary Expo officially kicks off with Parade of Wonders

The Parade of Wonders featured hundreds of fans all dressed up for the Calgary Expo, taking place this weekend at the BMO Centre.

The Parade of Wonders kicked off the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo on Friday, a whole weekend dedicated to comic, science fiction and fantasy lovers.

Friday’s Parade of Wonders proceeded down a different route this year because of Stephen Avenue being closed for construction at Olympic Plaza.

Instead, the parade began in Haultain Park in Victoria Park at 10:30 a.m.

The march concluded with the Expo’s opening ceremonies at the BMO Centre’s grand staircase.
