American Airlines has launched new seasonal service between Calgary International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. The airline will operate three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Aug. 6 to Oct. 4. The service will be operated using Boeing 737 aircraft with capacity for 172 passengers. “We are proud to continue growing our presence in Canada during a milestone year for American and American’s Canadian service,” said Paola Torri, director of operations for Canada and Mexico at American Airlines. “With this new service, customers in Calgary can seamlessly connect through our JFK hub to destinations across the United States, Europe and beyond.” “We’re seeing more Americans choose Calgary as their destination of choice, whether they’re coming for Stampede, exploring our city’s vibrant culture or using Calgary as their gateway to the mountains,” said Balázs Bogáts, chief commercial officer at Calgary Airports. Flights will depart New York at 9:29 a.m. and arrive in Calgary at 2:16 p.m. The return flight will depart Calgary at 3:37 p.m. and arrive in New York at 9 p.m.
