A family in Cochrane, Alta., was the target of a stubborn mountain goat that refused to leave their property for two days, wildlife officials said. Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Services (FWES) was called to an acreage near the community west of Calgary because of an “aggressive” mountain goat on the homeowner’s deck. Staff arrived at the scene, assessed the situation, tranquilized the goat and relocated it back into the mountains. “Occurrences like these likely happen only once in a fish and wildlife officers’ career and remind us how privileged we are to work in our field,” FWES said in a statement.
