Vehicle found with bullet holes after sounds of gunfire reported, police say

Residents can expect to see an increased police presence Wednesday in Georgina following an alleged shooting.

According to York Regional Police, officers responded around 4:22 a.m. to reports of the sound of gunshots in the area of Clarlyn Drive and Metro Road.

When police arrived, they found a parked vehicle with multiple bullet holes. “The vehicle that was shot is related to a residence on the street,” police say.

Investigators have since been called to the area. Authorities say residents should expect a police presence as officers gather evidence and canvass for information.

Police say no injuries were reported.
