The morning rush was at a slow crawl along Highway 11 for motorists heading north Thursday morning with lane closures through Severn Township. A tractor-trailer collision into a telephone pole at Soules Road around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday forced closures of all northbound lanes throughout the overnight hours. According to provincial police, no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The collision caused downed the wires to come down on the truck. It’s unclear if weather was a factor. Fire Chief Ritch Lowell tells CTV News it appeared the tractor-trailer jack-knifed and slid off the road, striking the telephone pole near the Menoke Beach Road exit. No one was injured. Shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday, OPP confirmed all lanes had reopened along Highway 11.
