Seed Library returns to Barrie Public Library

The seed library has returned to the Barrie Public Library for the 2026 season.

Residents looking to get started on their summer gardens can pick up a three free packs of seeds at any Barrie Public Library location until the end of June.

The seed library includes flowers, a variety of vegetables, beans, corn and a small selection of fruits.

The library system will also be handing out gardening kits for residents to borrow.

The library is offering a resource guide on seed care, including information on containers, soil, trimming and watering on the Barrie Library website.
