Classrooms at a Clearview, Ont., school will soon look a little more modern with the help of some funding from the province. Nottawa Elementary School will soon be able to welcome 144 new elementary school students as a result of a $4.7 million investment from the government of Ontario. The money is set toward expanding the school building. βAs communities across Simcoe-Grey continue to grow, it is important that our schools have the capacity to meet that demand,β said Brian Saunderson, MPP for Simcoe-Grey. The funding comes as part of the provincial Capital Priorities Program, which aims to support the construction of new schools, including permanent additions, school renovations and the purchase of school buildings. The Capital Priorities Program aims to provide more than $22 billion in funding for school construction and renovation by 2030.
