Police continue search for suspect in Barrie weekend stabbing

Myshak is wanted after a stabbing incident happened Sunday in the area near Anne Street North.

Police are still searching for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing in Barrie over the weekend.

It happened Sunday around midnight in the area of Anne Street North and Donald Street.

Police say a 43-year-old Barrie man was found with life‑threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre, where he remains.

Adam Myshak, 28, of Barrie, is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information or who knows the whereabouts of Myshak is asked to call police.
