Planning a waterfront visit? Collingwood parking registration now open

Registration is now open, and all residents need to sign up each year through Hotspot Parking app.

If you live in Collingwood and plan to spend time at the waterfront this summer, parking registration is now open for the season.

The town is reminding residents that free parking at waterfront spots like Sunset Point Park, Princeton Shores, Harbourview Park and Millennium Park isn’t a given.

All residents must register each year with HotSpot for a seasonal resident permit to park for free at popular waterfront parking locations.

Seasonal permits for non-residents are also available through the HotSpot website and cost $125.

Without a permit, paid parking kicks in May 15 and runs through Oct. 12, seven days a week. The town says rates apply from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at most waterfront lots.
