Man, 66, accused of trafficking prescription meds, thousands of cigarettes, and wad of cash

A 66-year-old is facing accusations of trafficking prescription medications, thousands of cigarettes, and a hefty amount of cash.

Back in the fall, police received reports that a man was allegedly trafficking drugs at a New Tecumseth residence. Through surveillance footage, officers say they determined activity consistent with trafficking.

On Tuesday, investigators from the Nottawasaga crime unit executed a search warrant at a home on County Road 50. Police say they seized roughly 14,000 contraband cigarettes, tobacco, indica, and $1,960 in cash.

The man is facing trafficking and contraband charges. He is scheduled to appear before the courts at a later date.
