Provincial police say the northbound lanes between Forbes Road and Horseshoe Road was closed shortly after 10 p.m. due to the slick conditions. “Motorists are advised to slow down and drive with caution,” OPP stated in a social media post at 10:23 p.m. There was no official word about any collisions, but several social media comments noted multiple vehicles crashed into ditches along the highway. The lanes reopened to traffic shortly after midnight.
