Collision in Tottenham claims man’s life

A 25-year-old man has died after an early morning collision in Tottenham.

A 25-year-old man lost his life after an early-morning collision in Tottenham.

Provincial police haven’t released many details about the crash, however New Tecumseth Fire Chief Dan Heydon said a car and a work truck collided around 6 a.m. on Friday.

The collision happened on Tottenham Road between Line 11 and 12, where Ontario Provincial Police closed the road to traffic for the investigation.

Police said a second person was taken to the hospital. The extent of that individual’s injuries was not disclosed.

The OPP’s technical traffic collision unit was called to assist with the probe into what took place. There has been no word on a cause.

The road was closed for much of the day and reopened shortly after 5 p.m.
