Colts blanked in Game 3, trail 2-1 in East final

The Brantford Bulldogs defeated the Barrie Colts 2-0 in Sunday’s Game 3 of the OHL Eastern Conference Final at Sadlon Arena and took a 2-1 series lead.

After a scoreless first period, Jett Luchanko opened the scoring in the second frame to put the Bulldogs ahead 1-0.

Ben Hrebik, Colts goaltender, did everything he could to keep his team in the game, stopping 37 out of the 38 shots he faced.

But Luchanko’s goal would be the difference. Gabriel Frasca added an empty-net goal late in the third, icing the 2-0 win for the Bulldogs.

Ryerson Leenders, Bulldogs goaltender, stopped all 22 Colts in the shutout effort.

Game 4 is set for Tuesday at Sadlon Arena with puck drop just after 7 p.m. in the evening.
