CTV Barrie: Battle of the Atlantic Dozens of veterans and cadets gathered in Barrie to honour those who lost their lives during “The Battle of the Atlantic.”

Dozens of veterans and cadets gathered in Barrie on Sunday morning to honour those who lost their lives during ‘The Battle of the Atlantic’ in the Second World War.

A parade began at the Sea Cadet Boathouse before making its way to the Barrie Cenotaph at Fred Grant Square.

The ‘Battle of the Atlantic’ was fought between 1939 and 1945 and it was the single longest battle in Canadian Military history.
