An ATV operator who suffered serious injuries after police say he crashed into the back of a parked vehicle is now facing several charges for impaired operation. Provincial police say the incident happened on Cherry Street between Elm and Thiffault streets in Waubaushene on Sept. 28. Police confirmed the operator was the only person on the ATV at the time. He was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a trauma centre in Toronto for further treatment. Police have since arrested the 31-year-old man from Tay Township. Along with the impaired operation offences, he is also charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance. He is scheduled to appear in court next month to answer to the charges.
