A man and woman face drug trafficking charges after police reportedly seized drugs from them during a traffic stop. Charlottetown Police Services says in a news release they stopped the vehicle and seized 20 grams of fentanyl, 110 grams of methamphetamine, cash, cellphones and “drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.” Jason Fitzpatrick, 39, and a 30-year-old woman have each been charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. Fitzpatrick was remanded in custody and will appear in court Sept. 3. The woman was released and will appear in court in September.
