The Chicks, Shaboozey performing at Halifax Music Fest this June

Popular country band The Chicks might not be ready to make nice, but they are ready to play at the Halifax Music Fest this summer.

The festival, which started last year, announced The Chicks will headline night one of the event on June 26.

They will be joined by Shaboozey, Blue Rodeo and the Barr Brothers.

Last year, Nickelback, The Killers and Lenny Kravitz headlined the three-day outdoor festival on the Garrison Grounds.
