Structure fire prompts street closure in New Glasgow, N.S.

A building in downtown New Glasgow, N.S., was on fire Wednesday afternoon.

Police in New Glasgow, N.S., are warning residents about a fire in the town Wednesday afternoon.

New Glasgow Regional Police says there is structure fire on Provost Street.

As a result, the street has been closed from Maclean to Jury streets.

“Pedestrians and vehicle traffic are asked to avoid the area so emergency crews can work safely,” reads a social media post by New Glasgow Regional Police.
