N.S. RCMP looking for vehicle in connection to homicide of Jayden Tynes

The Nova Scotia RCMP is looking for a vehicle in connection to the homicide of Jayden Tynes last year.

Officers and paramedics responded to reported shots fired near the Cain and Clarence streets intersection in North Preston around 4:58 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2025.

They found Jayden Tynes, 28, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to an RCMP news release.

Tynes went to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police believe a white, four-door Hyundai Elantra with dark tinted windows was seen travelling south on Lake Major Road around 5:30 p.m. that day.

“Investigators believe this vehicle may be associated with the homicide of Jayden Tynes and are appealing to the public for information regarding its owner or driver,” the release reads.

The Tynes case is also part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Reward for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the homicide.
