Halifax police search for robbery suspect who allegedly threatened people with gun

A woman who robbed a bank in Halifax on June 26 is pictured in a mask, hat and sunglasses during the robbery.

Halifax Regional Police (HRP) is asking the public for help identifying a suspect in a robbery investigation.

Police responded to the robbery at CIBC Bank on Parkland Drive in Halifax on June 26 at approximately 12:30 p.m.

A woman allegedly entered the bank, threatened everyone inside with a gun and demanded money.

Police said she went behind the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of money, then fled the scene in a black vehicle.

No one was physically injured.

The suspect is described as a white woman, approximately five-foot-seven. She was wearing a wearing a white medical mask to cover her face during the robbery. She also wore a blonde wig, large tan hat, black pants, grey jacket and gloves.

Photos also show a dark tattoo on the left side of the suspect’s lower back.

Anyone with information is asked to call HRP or Crime Stoppers should they wish to remain anonymous.
