A woman has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a man’s death in northeastern New Brunswick last month. The Belle-Baie Police Force responded to a medical call at a home in Petit-Rocher on May 8 around 3 a.m. Officers found a man with an abdominal injury at the scene. He was taken by ambulance to Chaleur Regional Hospital, where he died on May 22. Police have identified him as 50-year-old Serge Savoie. An autopsy was conducted and police say they consider his death to be a homicide. A 28-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the case on Saturday. Alicia Lagacé appeared by video conference in Bathurst provincial court on Monday. She was charged with: Lagacé was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on Monday.
