The Cumberland County District RCMP says an eight-year-old girl that was reported missing has been safely located. Early Tuesday, police had asked for the public’s assistance in finding the girl, who went missing from Mount Pleasant Road that morning. An emergency alert went out to Cumberland County, instructing residents to check their yards, shortly after noon Tuesday. “The RCMP thanks Nova Scotians for assisting with missing persons files through social media shares and offering tips,” reads the updated news release.
